Program Work Team

Join the Cornell Cooperative Extension Agritourism Program Work Team, in partnership with CCE Broome County, for a hands-
on educational event focused on expanding agritourism in the Southern Tier and New York State.
Held at New Leaf Cider, this event features Greg & Dustin Beagell sharing their journey of launching a farm cidery during the
pandemic. Attendees will tour the facility, learn from Visit Bing about engaging with tourism promotion agencies, explore
TASTE NY’s role in agritourism, and hear insights from a panel of regional agritourism operators.
Networking is a key focus of the event, with dedicated time to connect and share marketing materials with tourism promotion
staff and fellow attendees.

Southern Tier Regional Agritourism Networking Session

The Cornell Cooperative Extension Agritourism Program Work Team, in partnership with CCE Monroe, Ontario, and Seneca
Counties, invites agritourism operators, agricultural service providers, and tourism promotion agencies to a hands-on
educational event focused on growing agritourism in the Finger Lakes.
Held at Shortsville Reindeer Farm, this event includes a farm tour with owners sharing how they turned their hobbies into a
business, insights from Cornell’s Agritourism Program Team, and discussions with tourism agencies on promoting agritourism.
Networking is a key focus, with dedicated time to connect and share marketing materials with tourism promotion
representatives and fellow attendees.

Finger Lakes Regional Agritourism Networking Session

The Cornell Cooperative Extension Agritourism Program Work Team, in partnership with CCE Albany County, invites
agritourism operators, agricultural service providers, and tourism promotion agencies to a hands-on educational event
focused on growing agritourism in the Capital District.
Held at Indian Ladder Farm in Altamont, this event includes a farm tour with owner Laura Ten Eyck to learn about their
agritourism activities, insights from Cornell’s Agritourism Program Team, and discussions with tourism agencies on promoting
agritourism, including hearing from a representative from the Capital Craft Beverage Trail. Networking is a key focus, with
dedicated time to connect and share marketing materials with tourism promotion representatives and fellow attendees.

Capital District Regional Agritourism Networking Session

The Cornell Cooperative Extension Agritourism Program Work Team, in partnership with CCE Duchess County, invites
agritourism operators, agricultural service providers, and tourism promotion agencies to a hands-on educational event
focused on growing agritourism in the Hudson Valley.
Held at Clover Brooke Farm in Hyde Park, this event includes a farm tour with discussions about animals in agritourism,
insights from Cornell’s Agritourism Program Team, and discussions with tourism agencies and local agritourism operators on
promoting agritourism, customer service, visitor/farmer safety, and animal care/experiences. Networking is a key focus, with
dedicated time to connect and share marketing materials with tourism promotion representatives and fellow attendees.

Hudson Valley Regional Agritourism Networking Session

The Cornell Cooperative Extension Agritourism Program Work Team, in partnership with CCE Essex and Clinton Counties,
invites agritourism operators, agricultural service providers, and tourism agencies to a hands-on educational event at Rulfs
Orchard.
Attendees will tour the orchard, hear from the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) and North Country Chamber of
Commerce on engaging with tourism promotion agencies, and gain insights from a panel of agritourism operators. Networking
is a key focus, with time to connect and share marketing materials.

Northern NY Regional Agritourism Networking Session

invites urban farmers, agritourism operators, and tourism agencies to explore the growing urban agritourism industry in WNY.
Held at the Massachusetts Avenue Project Farmhouse, this event includes a farm tour, insights from I Love NY tourism, and a
panel of urban growers sharing how they use on-farm events to connect with visitors and the local economy. Networking is a
key focus, with time to share marketing materials and collaborate.
